Public Action to Deliver Shelter (P.A.D.S.)

Providing a warm, safe space is a vital way to support those in need, offering comfort, dignity, and hope during difficult times. We are dedicated to opening our doors and hearts to care for our community.

Public Action to Deliver Shelter (P.A.D.S.) is overseen by the Samaritan Center of Simi Valley. During the colder months, SVUMC hosts a cold-weather shelter on Saturdays.

Volunteers are asked to spend the night at the church to help supervise the gathering, and to provide access to snacks and restrooms. The volunteers complete their service early Sunday morning, serving a simple breakfast provided by other volunteers.
